Introduction to the Cyclic Yoga Teacher Training Program

The International Cyclic Yoga Teacher Training Program is organized by Payam Mehr Wellness Center (Canada Branch). This program is designed to enhance the theoretical and practical understanding of the Cyclic Yoga style and to empower participants with the ability to teach this method globally.

Admission Requirements:

  • Submission of a physical and mental health certificate

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent

  • At least 5 years of yoga practice and experience

  • For participants from Iran: a valid yoga instructor certificate from the Iranian Yoga Association

This training adheres to global yoga teaching standards, and the certification is recognized by two international organizations:

  • Yoga Alliance International (India)

  • Canadian Yoga Alliance (Canada)

The certificate is internationally valid and qualifies the holder to teach Cyclic Yoga in any country.

 

Certification Levels:

The International Cyclic Yoga Teaching Certificate is offered in three levels:

  • CY-RYT 200 – 200-hour Certified Cyclic Yoga Teacher

  • CY-RYT 300 – 300-hour Certified Cyclic Yoga Teacher

  • CY-RYT 500 – 500-hour Certified Cyclic Yoga Teacher

Certification is awarded upon completion of research work and passing both theoretical and practical exams.
Each certificate comes with a unique license ID and is verifiable through the official Cyclic Yoga website.
Certificates are valid for two years and require renewal thereafter.

Before receiving their certification, participants must complete and submit the official Yoga Code of Ethics form issued by the International Yoga Alliance.

 

CY-RYT 200 (200-Hour Cyclic Yoga Teacher Training) Curriculum:

  • Introduction to the history of yoga

  • Overview of major yoga styles practiced globally

  • Fundamentals of human anatomy

  • Anatomical analysis of yoga postures (asanas)

  • Practice and instruction of 55+ yoga asanas

  • Correct pronunciation of asana names

  • Understanding benefits and limitations of each asana

  • Identifying and preventing potential injuries in asana practice

  • Adjustment techniques: The art and science of guiding students safely

  • Use of yoga props in practice

  • Study of 12 foundational and key Cyclic Yoga sequences

  • Mastery of the CY-RYT 200 sequence: Structured teaching sequence of 55+ asanas

  • Practice of 5 unique Sun Salutation (Surya Namaskar) cycles in the Cyclic style

  • Training in Shavasana techniques and Cyclic Shavasana cycles

  • Practice of 5+ pranayama techniques

  • Instruction in 7+ mudras and 2 dedicated mudra cycles

  • Classroom management: Opening, guiding, and closing a yoga session

  • Practicum / Internship
